As promised, The Curmudgeoness will only come to you now and then where there is something that I think might be of interest to you.
Such is the case today.
Vol. VI - The Red Book - Part III is finished and was posted on Kindle Vella yesterday (9-13-23.) As you know Bright Morn of Issareth is one long, continuous story in the vein of its web novel Wuxia predecessors, so it's best, if you're inclined to read, to start at Volume I.
I'll be spending the next week getting caught up on my reverse outlines and have already started Vol. VII. I do have a title for it, but it actually contains a spoiler so we'll leave it at Number 7.
I am looking at a late December release of Vol. VII.
In the meantime, here's a cool picture. I was at a public market and there was an elderly Chinese artist doing some beautiful work and I showed him Bright Morn's name and asked him if he could do it. I love the paper he used and, of course, his red ink chop. I think it turned out beautifully. It got a little crumbled on the way home but I think that lends itself to the calligraphy, too.
